The Cheapmod Mini is a low-cost alternative to an Original Xbox modchip. Based off the Cheapmod schematics, the chip comprises of a single 49LF020 (256k) LPC flash to fit 1 x 256k custom BIOS.

The chip bypasses most of the Xbox's security features, allowing the installation of a custom dashboard, booting of imports backups and DVDs, upgrading the stock HDD with ease, running homebrew, transforming your Xbox into a debug kit to debug your own code, and much much more.

Installation of the Cheapmod Mini requires basic knowledge of soldering. Only install this chip if you know exactly on what you are doing.

What custom BIOS is recommended?

Cerbios and Evo-X Titan are far superior custom BIOSes in terms of features and stability.
